Turquoise-blue head of the god who helped to ensure the survival of souls in the afterlife and protected Egypt against chaos. All of Egypt was considered his temple, and the name of the country perhaps reflects this to this day. On the reverse of the head the beginnings of an eyelet.
In good condition, minimal wear.
Formerly priv. coll. M. C. (b. 14.12.1933) and R. C.-Burckhardt. (b. 10.05.1929), Basel. Thereafter by descent in the family.
