方世聪，上海生人;1960~ 1965年，国立上海美术专科学校油画系(本科) 毕业;1965~1975年，中国领袖肖像画家、上海美术家协会会员;1975年任教于上海戏剧学院美术系油画教研室。1976 ~1986年上海戏剧学院美术系油画教研室主任、教授.1987年，法国国立装饰美术学院访问学者，后旅居法国。1985年，上海黄浦画院副院长，上海教育局美术教育研究会常务理事;现为南京艺术学院客座教授，心象派代表艺术家。
