提要：此经五彩缂丝硬版封面封底，黄绫子面签条。首有大明正统五年御制龙牌，有精美五折扉画佛说法图，每行十七字，一折五行，上下双栏。《永乐北藏》又名《北藏》。为明代官版，永乐内府宫廷刻本，经版保存于皇宫，只有皇亲国戚才能请印。一向以宫廷赐予的方式，敕赐各皇家寺院。所以明代以来即有北藏难请的说法。全书字用赵体，娟秀明丽。装帧宽阔，美轮美奂。
