提要：明成祖仁孝徐皇后，于洪武三十一年正月一日，焚香静坐，阅古经典，心神凝定时，恍惚若于睡梦中，见观世音菩萨现大悲像，引其升七宝莲台上之宫殿，已而授以《如来常说第一希有功德经》，谓该经为诸经之冠，可消弭众灾，诵持一年精意不懈，可得须洹果，二年得斯含果，三年得阿那含果，四年得阿罗汉果，五年成菩萨道，六年得成佛果。惊寤后乃取笔书写所授经咒，而成《梦感佛说第一希有功德经》。
