A ceramic oil lamp with long, rounded nozzle, volute scroll to each side; dished top with concentric circles, decorated with asoldier wearing plumed helmet, subligaculum, and manica in his right arm, holding a sword in his right arm and a heavy shield in his left. 54 grams, 10cm (4"). Property of a professional Austrian gentleman; part of his private collection since the 1990s. Very fine condition.
