A ceramic oil lamp with rounded nozzle, volute scroll to each side; round discus with an image of two soldiers engaged in combat, both wearing a helmet, one brandishing a long spear, the other kneeling, holding a sword and protecting himself with a round shield; maker's mark 'MONORI' to the base. 70 grams, 10.5cm (4"). Property of a professional Austrian gentleman; part of his private collection since the 1990s. Very fine condition.
