A Dutch chiselled iron sword, circa 1660 Double-edged thrusting blade of diamond section with (rubbed) floral etching in the lower portion. Inlaid brass strips bearing the inscription "ME FECIT - SOLINGEN" on both sides of the reinforced base. The iron hilt deeply chiselled with three-dimensional town scenes, trophy bundles, figures and hounds. The iron wire bound grip with brass Turk's heads. Length 115 cm.Condition: II
