A finely carved hilt of a deluxe French hunting hanger, 19th century Very elaborately carved grip and quillons of staghorn with beautiful age patina. The grip decorated with three-dimensional deer, hares and dogs in a continuous spiral and with a boar on the pommel. In the centre of the quillons head of a fox and lion, respectively, in relief, the lateral finials with three-dimensional dog and boar, respectively, above fine openwork tendrils. The blade fragment etched with flowers on both sides. Length 34.5 cm. On a later presentation stand of iron.Condition: II
