A yellow-ground green- and aubergine-decorated dish with Qianlong seal mark, probably from that periodHuge dish with yellow ground, the center incised with a shou medallion encircled by wufu (five bats), lotus blossoms and clouds enclosed by eight beribboned Buddhist emblems above detached lotus sprays on the cavetto. The everted rim decorated with dragons divided by shou characters. The underside painted with carefully shaded peaches and flowers interspersed by pairs of confronted bats, all reserved on a yellow ground and decorated in differing shades of green and aubergine. Intact. No chips, no cracks. Diameter 41 cm. Similar dishes e. g. at Sotheby's, Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art, New York, 1979, lot 313 and 1989, lot 217. Provenance: South German family collection. Acquired by the grandfather in the early 1960s in Paris.Condition: II +
