Of Andalusian origin, Pablo Rodríguez moved to Barcelona during his childhood. In 1966 he became interested in painting and began to frequent Sant LLuch. A year later he began his studies at the Massana School in Barcelona, and in 1969 he began his artistic training at the San Jorge School of Fine Arts. Two years before finishing his studies, in 1974, he held his first individual exhibition, thus beginning a long career as an exhibitor, participating in more than 150 individual and collective exhibitions in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Iceland, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Canada, Cuba, the United States, Japan, the Dominican Republic, Taiwan and China. He has also participated in International Art Fairs such as ART-BASEL in Switzerland, ARCO in Madrid, ART-EXPO Montreal Canada, BUCHMESSE-ART Frankfurt, INTERARTE Valencia, ART-GRÀFIC Barcelona, ART-MULTIPLE Dusseldorf, ESTAMPA Madrid. Throughout his career he has combined his work as a painter with teaching, teaching at the School of Textile Design in Barcelona from 1977 to 1981, working alongside artists and theoreticians such as Rafael Argullol, Rafols Casamada and Ramón Folch. Finally, he left his work as a teacher to dedicate himself completely to painting, and at the end of the 90 s he began a series of trips that allowed him to experiment with materials. In 2000 he joined the artistic movement "Esasperatismo", and began to work with photography. Pablo Rodriguez has won more than 80 prizes and medals in painting, engraving and watercolour competitions. Among them the Medal of Honour in the BMW. The Emilio Ollero of Jaén.
