A Chinese cloisonné enamel and gilt bronze tripod censer , Ming dynasty, late 16th or 17 th century, of circular form supported on three cabriole feet, applied with a pair of small gilt-copper lion-mask handles, exterior with alternating coral-red, yellow, pale green and purple lotus wreathed by undulating foliate scrolls above a lappet border, the underside similarly decorated, the interior with a band of fruiting vine, Radcliffe Collection label 'K1' 16.2cm diameter x 9.5cm high, wood stand Compare with a similar example illustrated in, Chinese Cloisonné, The Peter Uldry Collection , pl. 117 Provenance: Major Lindsay F.
