The different nuances of white and very finely tuned transitions show this is wire-free musen-shippo instead of cloisonné. The five herons appear like luminous apparitions of higher beings. He developed a passion and deep understanding for the incredibly cumbersome technique of cloisonné which is reflected in the selection, featuring the great names of Namikawa Yasuyuki and Namikawa Sosuke.
