Description: On the slightly vaulted lid are, seated before the Bodhisattva, or rather the Goddess Kannon, several rakkan with their holy, golden nimbuses. Among them are two female beings and a boy. The outside features purely landscape, sansui-style painting. Inside, on the bottom of the bowl is a red peony blossom. Inside the foot ring, beneath the satsuma cross are the characters for the name KYOKU-ZAN 旭 山, which literally means “dawn at the mountain”. Condition: Very well preserved Provenance: From an Austrian private collection
