Description: The heads and faces of the boys are very lively and executed in the style of ukiyoe painting. All heads are bald except for one. One boy is sitting at a table with two cans. Another is pretending to paint on the scroll, like a child imitates adult activities. Another boy is studying the character Koto 琴 on the scroll, which refers to a type of Japanese zither. The boy holding up the scroll is also holding a large leaf-shaped fan. Signature BAI-DO 梅 島 hitsu 筆 and two red seals on the right.
