Japan, Meiji periodA very fine yakimono netsuke that shows Hotei, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, whose face looks more like that of a boy in this work, while his naked belly is as plump as ever. His little hands and feet appear very delicate. His robe is painted in many different colors and is beautifully decorated. Himotoshi on the rear and underside.
