It is using a pestle to stir miso, consisting of rice, fermented bean pulp and salt. The monkey is wearing a jacket with a round ivory button inlaid in the rear shoulder area. The fur is carved very accurately, the eyes are inlaid. Black coloration of the wood. Signature JI-GO 耳 忢 on the underside of the bowl.
