IMPORTANT MIRROR "AUX CARTOUCHES", Louis XV, Genoa ca. 1750. Pierced wood, finely carved with cartouches, leaves, garlands and decorative frieze, and gilt. Old mirror glass. Gilding restored. H 203 cm. W 98 cm. Provenance: - formerly part of the Di Capua Collection, Turin. - from a private collection, Switzerland. Similar mirrors are depicted in: G. Child, World Mirrors 1650-1900, London 1990; pp. 270-282. --------------- PRUNK-SPIEGEL "AUX CARTOUCHES", Louis XV, Genua um 1750. Holz durchbrochen sowie fein beschnitzt mit Kartuschen, Blättern, Girlanden und Zierfries sowie vergoldet. Blätterbeschmückter Doppelrahmen mit fein durchbrochenem Kartuschenabschluss.
