COMMODE "A LA GRECQUE", Transition, with signature by RVLC (Roger Vandercruse, maître 1755), Paris ca. 1770/75. Shaped satinwood. Front with 2 sans-traverse drawers on the bottom, and a drawer sub-divided into 3 compartments on top. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots, in part replaced. Shaped "Sarrancolin" marble top. With old inventory mark M. CHAUVIN. Restorations. 128x54x89.5 cm. Provenance: - from a French collection. --------------- KOMMODE "A LA GRECQUE", Transition, mit Sign. RVLC (Roger Vandercruse, Meister 1755), Paris um 1770/75. Satinholz profiliert. Prismierter Korpus mit vorstehenden Eckstollen auf wellig ausgeschnittener Zarge mit geschweiften Beinen. In der Mitte vorstehende Front mit 2 Schubladen ohne Traverse unter dreigeteilter Kopfschublade. Teils ersetzte, vergoldete Bronzebeschläge und -sabots. Profilierte "Sarrancolin"-Platte. Mit alter Inventarbezeichnung M. CHAUVIN. Restaurationen. 128x54x89,5 cm. Provenienz: Aus französischem Besitz. Die sehr elegante Formgebung der hier angebotenen Kommode orientiert sich an königliche Möbel von J.F. Oeben und J.H. Riesener aus den späten 1760er Jahren. Eine sehr ähnliche Kommode von J.F. Oeben, gefertigt für das Château de Chanteloup, wurde in unserer Dezember-Auktion 2005 (Katalognr. 1189) angeboten. Eine in der Formgebung nahezu identische Kommode, signiert von J.H. Riesener und gefertigt für das "Cabinet Intérieure de Madame Adelaide" im Château de Fontainebleau wurde in unserer Dezember-Auktion 2004 (Katalognr. 1162) verkauft.
