Ornate pair of Zitan carved double doors cabinets that have been richly decorated by Chinese master-craftsman. Scrolling filigree patterns fill the top and bottom skirts of each cabinet. A two-door construction is enhanced by beautiful relief carvings. The lumber is blackish-purple in hue, and its fibers are loaded with deep red pigments which have been used for dye throughout the ages. The fine surface of the wood grain has a beautiful glow as the light is reflected.
