Description
Translation provided by Youdao
Stoutly potted Chinese Ming porcelain fish pond. A portly deep vessel, with a globular body below a flat banded rim, gently tapered into a flat base. The main body decorated with hand painting in blue underglaze of snarling dragon careening through cumulus clouds. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The glaze terminates above the foot, revealed the pale-creme unglazed ground. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman. Mark on collar, a horizontal six blue script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within rectangular frame, JiaJing Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
