Description
Translation provided by Youdao
Pair of Yong-Zheng Chinese Famille-rose porcelain bowl plates. Shallow curvature flaring upward to form the floral rim, and a slightly raised footing which rests on a hand-carved pedestal. Famille-rose translates to the pink family, with the pink glaze coloration present on the plates surface. Depicted on the center of the dish is a flourishing waterside habitat replete with chrysanthemum blooms and hovering dragon-flies. Chrysanthemum is a treasured flower in China and is a symbol of joy and a wish for peaceful retirement. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman. Displayed elegantly upon a carved hardwood stand with conforming motif. Mark on base, a vertical six blue underglazed script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed by double fine blue rings, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
