此作紫泥制成，塑瓜棱式样，有着典型的清乾隆宫廷风格，与乾隆御制诗文壶有着相同的艺术气息。此壶器形文雅别致，呈瓜棱形制，饱满挺阔。大小相间的瓣状造型，有着极强的层次感和韵律感。圈把、弯流上又以如意为饰，呈现出中国传统吉祥如意的文化意趣。壶身通体光素无纹，仅在壶底钤“笨岩”二字阳文印款。笨岩擅长泥绘，制壶多进贡宫廷，有的带有御制诗文，在诗文前面冠“御制”两字。
