Intricate Wanli SanCai Huluping vase. Double gourd vases resemblance, bulbous lower section converging into a lemon-shape midsection and finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top. The bottom forms a substantial ring-base with a flat offset face. The rim and the middle banded with white ring patterned. Circular white line Delicately decorated around the exterior with red flowers upon green color. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman. Mark on both base, a vertical six underglazed blue script -KaiShu- characters reign mark, Wanli Reign Period of Great Ming. Dimensions: 8-3/4" H x 5-1/4" Diam. (each)
