Chinese Qing Dynasty Gilt Bronze Cloisonne Zun Vase. Chinese covered censer having a bulbous body with wide enclosed rim, slightly raised on footed rim and covered with a domed lid. Gracefully differentiated part with shinny gilt ornament. The mid-section is finely enameled against a bright turquoise in pale cobalt blue color base ground with a lot of bands of archaic Tiger masks all section on the vase. The domed lid crowned with characterizing pierced gilt bronze finial in watermelon pattern. The cloisonne decorating has been done with impressive fluency and detail. Each section of the vase is cast with a set of four flanges on the sides that start at the upper lip and follow down to the foot of the vessel, decorated with a strong spear surrounded by curly vines. Two straight gilt line banded across the collar and upper foot. The composition is sophisticated and the colors are a feast for the eye.
