The well-potted globular body with an applied arching handle, terminating in a domed lotus leaf on top of the vessel, the opposite shoulder molded with a fanciful lion head spout, the central body freely carved and molded with a scrolling tendril with leafy foliate clusters, covered overall in a fine pale olive-green glaze, pooling in the recesses with even craquelure, the underside pierced with a five-petal prunus blossom aperture that enables the ewer to be refilled with fluids when it is placed upside down. {Height: 7 inches (18 cm)}.
