木雕金漆阿弥陀佛是西方净土世界的教主，为解众生之苦，发四十八大愿，在历经累世修行之后，报得极乐净土，成为西方极乐世界的教主，随时准备接引功德圆满的往生者，故亦称接引佛。接引佛造像常为立佛，手作来迎印，并产生丰富多元的图像变化，同类姿态于早期印度造像中即有范例。此尊佛陀面容圆润饱满，神态沉静而优雅，仪态端庄肃穆，下承华丽的仰莲座，带舟形背光。整像工艺考究，袈裟衣褶的处理十分精彩，漆金饱满，值得珍藏。
