Apple G4 Cube with 15" LCD monitor, keyboard, optical mouse and dedicated audio speakers. The G4 Cube (2000) was a machine with a particularly accurate design: made of transparent plastic material, it contained in a small space all the main components including the hard disk and the vertically loaded CD burner; it was characterized by a convection cooling system, without fans (Steve Jobs not only always hated the noise of fans, but at the time of Apple in 1981 it had been a technological challenge to stand out from the very noisy IBM 'PC'). It was a commercial failure due to its high cost and low expandability, but many years later its design was taken over by the much luckier 'Macmini', whose external shape is perfectly identical to the G4 Cube shell and which had a remarkable success, to the point of being a product still appreciated and marketed today. The product is functional (the original speakers have cones that are not perfect due to their age).
