Apple Macintosh Portable,
The Portable (1989) was Apple's first attempt to make a laptop without compromise, the sales slogan in fact read 'We don't want to tell you that this Macintosh is portable, but that this laptop is a Macintosh'. A Macintosh, therefore, to all intents and purposes, wanted by the then head of Apple products Jean-Louis Gassée who advertised it, as a good Frenchman, also with the slogan 'Liberté, egalité, portabilité'. Heavy over 7 kilos, with the battery it had an autonomy of almost 10 hours, and was supplied with the very special padded carrying bag ('bag'), which is supplied with this lot, so in fact we are faced with two objects instead of just one. The Portable also introduces the use of the trackball, a special cursor pointing tool (conceptually an upside-down mouse embedded in the chassis). The computer comes untested. AAA Properties
