This lot is a unique piece, it represents the third stage of the prototype study, the next one is the design and sale version. The computer consists of a transparent acrylic case, marked with numerous original Apple labels that describe the internal components used. The 'Apple Development Team' on the outside and 'Go Postburn' on the inside, which defines the tested operation, stand out in particular. In fact, the prototype, suitably powered, is still working, and if equipped with a coeval boot hard disk, it loads the operating system regularly, demonstrating that it is an object in the final phase of study. Through the acrylic it is possible to appreciate the chosen internal components, the battery, the cd player, the power button, the trackpad; there are many 'flying' wire connections. The resulting commercial product will be called Powerbook G4 alluminum (2003) and will be sold in various sizes: 12", 15" and 17". The prototype is working.
