A 17th century Italian bronze figure of Zeus Cast in the round with old patina.. A nude figure of the ancient Roman god designed to be viewed in the round. He is depicted standing in dynamic contrapposto with his raised right foot resting upon an eagle and holding a bundle of lightning in his right hand. A minor breakage to the right shoulder with an old restoration. Mounted on a newer moulded marble plinth. Height 32.5 cm (without plinth).. Provenance South German private collection. Italien 17. Allansichtige Figur des nackten in bewegtem Kontrapost stehenden Gottes, der seinen angehobenen rechten Fuß auf einen Adler setzt, in seiner rechten Hand das Blitzbündel. Kleiner Bruch auf der rechten Schulter alt restauriert. Bereibungen. Auf neueren profilierten Marmorsockel aufgesetzt. Höhe 32,5 cm (ohne Sockel). Provenienz Süddeutsche Privatsammlung.
