紫金釉在北方諸窯口中皆有燒造，具有代表性的有河北定窯、磁州窯，河南當陽峪窯，以及陝西耀州窯。在紫金釉中如本例的葵口器形較為罕見。此碗六曲花口，敞口，作六瓣花式，腹部漸斂，圈足。器里外施紫色釉，外部施釉不到底，足牆露胎，足底心有釉，足部澀胎，胎質細白，修足規整精細。碗内外滿施醬色釉，釉光溫潤，釉水流暢自如，可謂佳器難得。
