|Myanmar/Burma. Early 20th c.|Bamboo, braided with sieve. Lacquerd red, orange over black. The container (hsei leik taung) on a wide stand-up was originally meant for the storage of the components of Burmese cheroot cigars. With the attached sieve it was used for medicine and to separate dried herbs from coarser components. Height 18cm, Ø 31cm.
