The Buddha Amida of the Western Paradise Sukhavati is sitting in meditation posture with hands in jôbon jôshô gesture on a separate high lotus throne. His hand gesture, of which exist nine variations, defines the position of the souls of the believers in paradise. Total height 57cm.
