A miniature portrait of Lieutenant General Christopher Jeaffreson of Dullingham (1761-1824) half-length, in blue day dress, with engraved gilt metal plaque to the reverse water and bodycolour on ivory, oval 7 x 6cm Footnote: The sitter who rose to the rank of Lieutenant General was from 1783 until 1798 only Captain, probably in the 18th Regiment of Foot. We are grateful to Christopher Joll, Regimental Historian of the Household Cavalry, for his assistance with this catalogue entry.
