Steel, 47,5 cm (61,8 cm with the tang)
Signed 近江守藤原継廣 (Omi no Kami Fujiwara Tsuguhiro) on the tang.

The blade has a rich later mount consisting of a four-lobed tsuba with an arabesque profile, the tsuka covered with fish skin and silk thread, partially gilded metal menuki in the shape of a dog, kashira and fuchi in partially gilded metal with plant and bird motifs, lacquered wood sheath, ko-gatana knife with relief decoration of birds and plants on the handle and a three incised characters signature.
