Provenance: Fabrizio Savi collection, acquired in the late 1990s from a private American collector.
The blade has a rich later mount consisting of a circular iron tsuba with a relief decoration of open folding fans, the tsuka covered with fish skin and silk thread, partially gilded metal menuki in the shape of a minogame turtle with bamboo leaves, partially gilded metal fuchi with drum, hen, chick and flower.
