Dimensions: 2-1/4" H x 3-7/8" Dia. (each) Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Shendetang mark Hibiscus bloom porcelain bowls. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, with flaring opening lip, raised on a small round slightly raised footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the famille rose design color. The exterior adorned with Hibiscus flower blooms interspersed with fresh green foliage, beside Chinese calligraphy themed poems with red seal. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a four underglaze red script characters, Shendetang mark.
