Attributed to Namikawa Yasuyuki (1845-1927) of Kyoto, Meiji era (1868-1912), 1880s Intricately worked in gold wire with opaque and translucent enamels with an all-over design of butterflies in flight amongst stylised flowers and foliage on a ground flecked with aventurine, the shoulder with a wide lobed band enclosing repeated foliate motifs, the neck with a narrow band of zig-zag patterns; unsigned. 15.1cm (6in) high.
