A Chinese gilt bronze figure of Amitayus, seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne with hands resting in the lap holding a now missing vase/bowl, dressed in dhoti with engraved borders, richly adorned with necklaces, a multi stranded belt and a five petalled crown. Qianlong 1736–1795. Not sealed. Weight 1129 g. H. 17 cm. Provenance: Peter Salomon 1942–2020.
