A BRASS MOUNTED OZELOT SKULL SMOKER'S SET Thailand/Siam, around 1920. Attributed to ALEX & COMPANY, BANGKOK. The ozelot skull mounted with brass elements as a smoking set. Fitted with an embossed match holder and multiple removable compartments as well as striking surface to light the matches and an ashtray. Further embellished with brass repousse mounts depicting a deity amid swirling clouds. With an integrated brass base. Condition: Good condition with expected surface wear. Provenance: From the collection of an aristocratic family in Thailand. Thereafter collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
