A Chinese Blue and White Bowl Of circular section, supported on a short straight foot, the rounded sides rising to an everted rim, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, painted with a continuous design of birds flying and perching on prunus branches, the outer rim with cloud decoration reserved against a blue ground, the inner rim with ‘cracked ice’ decoration, the well painted with rockwork and branches, the glazed base with a geometric mark within a double circle in underglaze blue.
