Condition report: The canvas has been relined. There is very little discernible craquelure. Seen under UV: the painting is covered with a layer of patchy varnish which makes retouching difficult to read. There is a small abrasion towards the lower right, and possibly a little retouching to the extreme right edge and lower edge. A small spot of retouching upper left. However beyond this no significant retouching or sign of damage is visible. It is possible that some retouching has been masked by the varnish. The picture appears to have been cleaned relatively recently, however this has been well executed; there is still some some impasto in leaves of trees and good detail remains throughout. Well presented and in a parcel gilt frame, ready to hang.
