PEACHED BY WU CHANGSHUO W.48cm H.179cm Description: The peach, as a symbol of longevity, has been the object of many famous artists since ancient times. The peach under Qi Baishi's brush is painted in a basket or hung on a tree, each vivid and dripping, as if it is within reach. Wu Changshuo, a famous artist of the Hai School, painted peaches with a different character, with less sweetness and vulgarity, but with strong and healthy burshwork, and more with spiritual connotation of longevity and health.
