A lacquered-horn kiseruzutsu (pipe case) By Tomin, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century Of muso-zutsu form with ivory top, the main section black-lacquered, carved and inlaid with Kannon standing while holding a fan, turning to look at a writhing dragon, engraved in katakiri and kebori, the goddess's head and hands inlaid with ivory; signed Tomin. 21.5cm (8½in) long. 注脚 Provenance: Raymond Bushell Collection.
