Four fuchi-gashira (hilt collars and pommels) and a fuchi (hilt collar) Edo period (1615-1868), 18th to 19th century The fuchi-gashira of shibuichi or shakudo nanako, decorated in a variety of chiselling and inlay techniques, the first, the kashira with Omori Hikoshichi and Chihaya, with an unassociated fuchi with horses, signed Inagawa Yoshikatsu with a kao; the second with a mounted warrior battling a yamabushi (warrior monk); the third with rats and a hanging scroll and fan, with signature Yasuchika; the fourth with waves and spray, signed Omori Hidetomo with a kao; the fuchi of shakudo nanako with autumn plants and insects.
