Two ivory okimono and a bone-inlaid plaque Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century The first a figure group depicting six of the Shichifukujin (Seven Lucky Gods) processing with many karako (Chinese boys) in an elephant-drawn carriage, signed in a red-lacquer rectangular reserve Yoshimasa to (Carved by Yoshimasa), with a wood stand, 7.6cm (3in) long; the second a rural scene depicting farmers tending to the fields in front of their thatched hut, the hut covered with a large pine tree, signed Hikaru to (Carved by Hikaru), 5.5cm (2 1/8in) long; the third a wood plaque lacquered black, inlaid in bone and shell depicting an eagle perched on a blossoming prunus tree, steadying itself before chasing a small bird close by, framed in a painted wood frame carved with a key fret and floral motifs, unsigned, overall: 37.1cm x 54cm (14 5/8in x 21¼in).
