Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) and Kawanabe Kyosai (1831-1889) Edo period (1615-1868), mid 19th century Three oban tate-e and one triptych prints: the first and second two oban of Okegawa and Ashida from the series Kiso kaido rokuju kyutsugi (69 Stations on the Kisokaido), both published by Sumiyoshiya Masagoro, with two nanushi censors' seals and date seal of the year of rat (1852), signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga, 34cm x 23.7cm (13 3/8in x 9 3/8in) and 36cm x 24.2cm (14 3/16in x 9½in) respectively; the third of a triptych by Kuniyoshi of Watonai gunko toshu no zu (General Watonai conquering the Tigers), published by Yamaguchiya Tobei, censor's seal aratame, date seal hare 1 (1855), signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga, 34.5cm x 23cm (13 5/8in x 9 1/16in); the last an oban by Kyosai of Konjaku miken seibutsu moko no shinzu (A True Picture of the Fierce Live Tiger Never Seen from the Past to the Present), published by Ebisuya Shoshichi, with combined censor's and date seal of aratame monkey 6 (1860), signed Oju Kyosai shasei, 36.2cm x 24.7cm (14¼in x 9¾in); all framed and glazed.
