A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver teapot, Cutch circa 1880 Raj period, of ovoid form upon three cast lion paw feet. The curved spout opposite a chased twisted serpent handle with bifurcated snake head junction, fitted with ivory insulators pinned to sockets. The hinged domed lid surmounted by a chased artichoke finial with leaf calyx. The body, lid, and spout with deep chased decoration between of foliate scrolls with rosettes between acanthus bands with beaded edging. Length – 19 cm / 7.5 inches Weight – 495 grams / 15.91 ozt
