An early 20th century Iraqi silver and niello three-piece cruet, circa 1930 signed Khalid wa Barakat Comprising a mustard pot, a salt, and a pepper pot. The pepper pot modelled after a minaret, the mustard and salt of tapering cylindrical form, each with a removable blue glass liner. The mustard pot nielloed with a scene of three dhow sailing boats in perspective to the front, flanked by the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad, as well as palm trees and a camel and walker, the lid with a boatman in gufa and palm trees. The salt with two mudhif and dhow sailing boats as well as palm trees and as two camels with walker. The pepper with the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon), a boatman in gufa, a camel and rider, dhow sailing boats and palm trees. The salt and mustard signed to the side; the pepper unsigned.
