A Victorian sterling silver wine ewer, London 1856 by Edward & John Barnard of rounded teardrop form upon a spreading circular base with a tall waisted neck with everted lip and moulded rim. The C scroll handle cast as a fruiting vine. The body with engraved decoration of a basket of flowers with large foliate scrolls, the front with an infilled cartouche. Fully marked underneath lip, part-marked underneath foot, and stamped for F.L Hausburg Liverpool. Height – 36.5 cm / 14.3 inches Weight – 692 grams / 22.25 ozt
